An evening full of glitz, glamour and charm! An evening that was the grand finale of a mega personality pageant, hosted by the Indian Film & Television Institute in association with Take Off Events & Model Management company from New Delhi on 21st Dec at Box Office Amphitheater, at IFTI. An event that was a roaring success with loads of excitement, gala prizes and talented faces walking down the ramp with gutso and elan! Mr & Ms. Road To Stardom, 2011 was culminated successfully with the final selected semi finalists of 33 contestants- 20 boys and 13 girls. The beautiful & charming young boys and girls went through various rounds during the whole day comprising titles bestowed to them by experts like Mr & Ms Photogenic to Mohd Daood Khan and Nidhi Singh, Mr & Ms. Best Walk to Manmeet Raj and Sandhya Solanki, Mr & Ms best Personality to Prachi Aggrawal and Vishal Anand and Mr Best Body to Ali Abbas and Perfect 10 to Mansi.
The shimmering evening was set with mesmerizing lighting and music, with eminent judges from the fashion fraternity coming down from New Delhi, Mr Aslam Khan, Sadan Pande, Sandeep Grover, Monica Kohli and Abdur Rehman who watched and judged these 33 charming young models sashay down the ramp in three rounds of Ethinc Indian wear, Casual Denims and finally Cocktail Round with the young damsels wearing lovely evening gowns and young lads in formal western wear . The effect was nothing less than scintillating! The evening also saw a bunch of professional models from Delhi showcasing ethnic and designer wear of designers Aslam Khan, Rehman, Sadan Pande as well as a very creative North Eastern Collection.
The evening was rounded off by the much coveted and awaited names of the winners who were Prachi Aggrawal as Ms. Road to Stardom and Ali Abbas Goni as Mr. Road To Stardom!
The starstudded evening would have been incomplete without the IFTI ROCKERRZ, dance group under Dance faculty Suraj Sharma who gave some mesmerizing performances of Rumba and Bollywood Hip Hop! The Rumba dance is a mix of afro-cuban dance form with slow rhythmic movements amongst the most sensual of all Latino dance forms. Suraj had very eloquently choreographed Rumba with students of IFTI for the audience!
The glittery evening was given a facelift by the entire team of IFTI, behind as well as on the stage, with Esha Bhardwaj holding the stage as the Emcee of the evening with penache and a team of competent lightmen, sound technicians, coordinators and event managers from IFTI staff!
