IFTI buzzing with activities

IFTI has been buzzing with activities in the month of August! Starting with visits from stalwarts of film industry like Raza Murad who conducted vigorous diction lessons with the students of ACTING dept, Biswajeet expert in martial arts Thangta and Shashidhar Acharya, expert in Chhau Dance,the month also saw the Certification Ceremony of a few passing out batches of Film & TV Direction, Acting, Modelling,Radio Jokceying,Singing, Video Editing & Camera.The guests of honour giving away the certificates were Shweta Singh, noted newsanchor of AajTak Channel and Raza Murad.The students showcased some films made by them in which the notable were, "Rockerzz" by Suraj Sharma & mayank Chauhan of dance and Direction dept, "Evil Deeds" by Anubha Rastogi of Direction dept, "The Death Car" by Vikas Chauahn, a Camera student, "The Window" by Nitin Dhall from Direction dept and "The world Cup" by Dinesh & Nitin, Editing students.

The month also saw auditions conducted by noted organisations Honhaar Trust for a Reality Series on India News channel, called, "Nritya Ka Sagar".Few episodes were also shot in the auditorium, BOX OFFICE at IFTI. An audition for Zee Jagran channel was also conducted by Sur sangam Kala Kendra, Delhi at IFTI premises where a no of IFTIans participated besides outisiders and were selecetd too for the final round.

The students of dance department performed a dance drama on livelihood at the famous Jeevika documentary festival at India habitat Center under their faculty, Suraj, which was well applauded and received.

Later during the month, ETV did a shooting on the Anna Hazare movement that has penetarted even the colleges and media institutes, where the Acting deptt did a street play under faculty Sandeep mahajan, which was captured in the camera and shown on ETV.

The Month ended with a mega 2-day Film making workshop conducted by noted and veterans from the TV industry to guide and help the students who want to enter media.Ajay Shetty, Adarsh rastogi, tanuja Shankar and Dharampal Dhiman were a few notable names who helped the 100 odd students produce 10-Shot films on thre given topic, "anti corruption".The films were well made and demonstarted the learning of 2 days by these aspiring film makers.

This is going to be followed by an Animation Workshop where an animation specialist is going to show films and demonstarte about the magical world of animation and VFX on 11th Sept at IFTI
